Curitiba, the city in the state of Paraná in Brazil is chosen as one of the best cities beautiful, pleasant, and well-protecting of the environment because of it's on average 20.4℃ in summer and 12.7℃ in winter.

It's a paradise on earth, of which pride is the percentage of green park in the city is the second rank and the satisfaction of the traffic policy is the first rank in the world. 

The reason the percentage of green and the traffic policy are each 1 rank, and 2 rank in the world!!

That because the ways that resolve chronic problems of the city and plan a new policy are unexpecting.

The repressentive policy that made Curitiba be known to the world is the subway on the ground.

In Curitiba, the buses are the subway.
The best thing of the subway is It doesn't need traffic lights, and the worst thing is the taxes from nations are poured to dig the ground. So Curitiba noted both of them.
So the bus-subway has made.

Because if it can run nonstop, it doesn't need to dig the ground, the subway is made on the ground.

Also, when you look at more idea Curitiba solved citiy problems, there said it will make the places possible to be slum to parks in advance.

These days I listen to a song almost everyday. What's more, I seem to listen to it more than five times a day. It is ‘Happy’ sung by Pharrell Williams, recently well known to people as a collaboration of Daft Punk, Robin and Thicke.

I have been gloomy since something bad happened lately. Quite unexpectedly, I happened to hear a song called ‘Happy.’ in the bus on my way home. As I listened to this song, I felt quite refreshed.

My personal favorite parts of the song are as follows: 'Love is too happy to bring me down. Can't nothing, bring me down.' Even if I don't fall in love with someone, there are so many people who love me, come to think of it.

As I listened to ‘Happy’ sung by Pharrell Williams these days, it reminded me of those who usually make me happy. It led to the reflection to make me admit having forgotten them. It once more confirmed that I am really happy person.

Are you feeling gloomy? Actually it may be ourselves that make us gloomy. Can't nothing, bring me down! Happiness is under our feet. There is no reason we can't feel happy.Let's enjoy our happiness today, as well.

Jamaica and Mindanao have nothing in common except one. Then what is the common point? Let's take a look at the point from here on.

In 1978, Jamaica got extremely acute in the political conflicts and came to the brink of civil war and Mindanao Island in Philippines has suffered from civil wars for more than forty years, due to the religious conflict between Catholic and Islam. Unfortunately, as many as 150,000 people have been killed in the civil war.

In 1978, Bob Marly was asked to take part in the Peace Concert and came back to his homeland Jamaica without hesitation. During the concert, even in the danger of assassination, he appealed to all of the audience, saying like 'United we stand, divided we fall.' Right after that, he called out on a whim the rival leaders, Michael Manley of the People's Republic and Edward Cigar of the Labour party. Then he made them hold hand in hand with each other. The picture taken of the two leaders at that time is still famous, isn't it?

Likewise in Mindanao, in March 27, 2014, Peace Messenger Lee got Muslim leader and Catholic leader together, and put an end to the war by persuading them to sign in Peace Treaty

As you can see in the pictures above, the two pictures look alike, don't they?

A lot of people were deeply moved by the impressive fact that Bob Marley called out the rival leaders to the stage and made them hold hand in hand with each other. 

Leading the world in the peace movement represents manhee Lee both Muslim and Catholic religious leaders to found a voice to end to dispute and war between them that surprised the world 

 

In 1980, Bob Marley was hailed as a peace agent in Africa, and was invited to perform in Zimbabwe at an epic concert, marking their independence in that year. Geared towards easing the tension between political factions at the time, the act shocked many, including the invitees, who were caught totally by surprise. The move, however, seemed to have somewhat achieved its objective. 

In today’ world we can compare Mr. Lee to well known musical figure like Bob Marley. Mr. Lee has also been travelling all over the world trying to appeal Peace and he as well, when you sing, sing with means and even the death he would not stop what Mr. Lee has been doing which is same as what Marley has been doing so until he was shot to death.

He sang nothing but love and sang to spread all the love and peace.

The city of peace, Assisi.

 

This small city of Italy that has peaceful energy consists of many low slopes, and the city's pale pink stones seen well in buildings and houses remind of peach color.

 

When you see the streets and the sceneries of Assisi, you can feel it can't be more peaceful and beautiful so you can have well-resting there.

The representative Catholic churches are Basilica di Santa Chiara memorial of saint Chiara and São Francisco Church.

 

If you go to Assisi, I hope you visit them and feel their severity, simplicity, and neatness.

 

Like Assisi, the small city that has this peace energy, I hope all wars happening in the world disappear and then peace comes in every place on earth.

 Lee was on the way to America last May to carry on with world peace. At Incheon International airport before his departure Peace advocate Man Hee Lee claimed that whole world should make this world peace together. When Peace advocate Mr. Lee arrived in America, first thing he did was attending in New York  where World Peace Conference was held at and made a speech.  He made an incredible speech in front of many politicians and religious leader, Peace advocate Mr.Lee also made a speech at  universities and interviewed with different stations. He surely presented that true peace is here, wherever he goes, there is always light that follows as it seems. We give him a big hand who leads upcoming world peace with

Peace means peacefulness or peaceful state without any war, fight, conflict at all. Is it really possible for us to make such a peace without war and fight? Pakistan believes in peace and security in region and freedom of sea trade: President

KARACHI-President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan strongly believed in encouraging peace and security in the region and the freedom of the seas and trade.The President was addressing the 101st Midshipmen Commissioning and 10th SSC Officers Passing Out Parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy today. He further said that Pakistan had a strong stance to pursue a balanced foreign policy based on strengthening economic bonds and fostering good relations with each and every country especially with its neighbors. “Pakistan stands committed today to the international order and stability and is against terrorism in all its manifestations,” he emphasized.

The president said Pakistan Navy always performs up to the expectations of the nation to defend the waters of the country and expressed the confidence that the newly inducted officers will continue to serve the country with the same passion.The president had very high hopes on and was confident that the new officers will cross new dimensions of command and leadership.  He said they have become a member of a much esteemed organization whose discipline and quality of work are is an example for all. He advised them to uphold these glorious traditions through strength of their personal character, integrity and honor.Mamnoon Hussain said military leadership qualities are very vital in the career of an officer. There is someone living in the place there are pierced bizarre mushroom rocks. -It's a look of Cappadocia.

When you arrive in Cappadocia, it can't help gaping because of full of weird rocks that you see for the first time in your life anywhere you look there.

Cappadocia, located in 320km southeast of Ankara that is the capital city, is the place channels of trade like silk road passed, so wars were constant there.

 

In Cappadocia, a lot of christians had set there, avoiding persecution.

It's said all the christians who took refuge from persecution lived, moving the ground and underground that hittite dug in to protect it from attack from outside.

The place they hid when enemies came, and went out to the ground when enemies left, Derinkuyu Underground City that disappeared in history was found by a farmer accidentally in a village of Turkey in the 1960's. And it's said by guides, he was getting suspicious that chicken were disappeared over and over again, and one day, he saw one of chicken that he raised running and stepping into a hole, so on the way he tried to find the chicken, he found Derinkuyu Underground City.

 

Derinkuyu Underground City is made under the ground on average 50-70m(maximim depth 120m) deep as huge size. They dug under the ground and then made facilitates like schools, halls, cafeterias and churches.

They are until the 8th basement level, water can be used from undergraound, and the cave long is 32km full lengths.

 

 

    

This kind of underground city is scattered that's why it's estimated it's connected with other cities, but the excavation is not complete yet.

    

On the lowest floor is almost wells, that's the reason why this underground city is called 'Derinkuyu(a deep well)'.

    

The entrance toward the underground city is very small, and round-big stones were there, in case of invading of enemies in every passage to keep them from coming in by blocking the entrance with big stones when it's emergency.

 

 

    

It's easy to lose the direction when you walk in the cave like a maze for Derinkuyu. It may be hard to come out without a sign.

 

 

    

The 1st basement level of Derinkuyu is made for the pen, feed storage, winery, and theological school,

the 2nd basement level is made for the residence,

the 3rd basement level is made for the storage and well,

the 4th basement level is made for the residential space,

the 5th basement level is made for the ventilation shaft,

the 6th basement level is made for the residential space,

the 7th basement level is made for the church,

and the 8th basement level is made for the small room and ventilation shaft.

 

 

I can't imagine how hard it was the life that made an underground city by digging the ground and lived there without sunlight to live.

Like this, there has been many wars and deaths because of race or religion.

John Lennon, member of the Beatles, was from UK, but there is the Wall of John Lennon in Prague that bore his name.  Czech Republic Regardless of border and race, all the people seem to wish for peace in their mindsas ruled by Germany during World War I and World War II.  Even after that, it was oppressed by the communist rule of the Soviet Union.  During the oppressed times, it has history of struggle for their freedom and independence.  At the time of struggles, they were said to express freely their own thoughts on the wall of the Catholic cathedral (which is now called the Wall of John Lennon).  As John Lennon sang about the freedom, peace, equality in the world through the Song "Imagine," so Czechs expressed as much as they liked, about democracy, freedom, and peace on this wall.  Today it became a famous tourist site and it is said to be used to leave tourists' traces.

The reason was because they did not know the answer for it.
However, these days there is the wave of peace and when we followed the wave, there was a peace advocate.

The leader, Representative ManHee Lee traveled the world 10 times for peace.
Many people from different countries worked in corporation with him to achieve peace.
Volunteering, peace walk and many people are participating and becoming one.
How could that many people can gather up and participate seems marvelous.
Representative Lee said he knows the answer for peace and would peace really come with the answer?

Representative Lee emphasizes we should inherit peace to the next generations not war.
If we make war, youth would fight and wonder if they can get any rewarding for their death.
We truly hope a world with no war on the earth and with peace as soon as possible.

The World Peace Bell

What comes to your mind about a bell?

When I think about a bell, New year or Christmas come to my mind.

There is Jingle Bell, and when it gets New year, it's known by hitting a bell.

Like this, there are many kinds of bells in the world, and then, today, I'm going to do posting the Peace Bell.

The Peace Bell is in Hwacheon, Korea, and it's made by empty cartridges collected from conflict zones in the world.

So, the bell has hope for peace and life.

When this big bell is made by collected empty cartridges, it's said, the weight of this bell is 37.5 tons.

It means there were as many wars in each country.

I hope from now on, wars disappear that empty cartridges disappear too.

This bell has a special meaning that it's an unfinished bell yet.

There are 4 doves on it, and one of them doesn't have one wing.

It's said the wing would be attached when the unification of South and North Korea comes true, now the situation is so sad, but I hope the wing is attached soon.

Peace comes true in America

Chairman Man-Hee Lee headed towards the American Continent to once again shine the light of peace to the world. Chairman Lee is the world famous Peace Advocate who has circled the world for several years giving the message of peace, which makes us forget that his age is 84. All the political, religious, and peace leaders who have met Chairman Lee all said in unison that he is someone that everyone must meet in their lives. What is it that Chairman Lee has that moves all the hearts of people? It is for certain that world peace which seemed impossible to fulfill is shining with hope of peace actually becoming a reality through Chairman Lee. There are high expectations in the future works of Chairman Man-Hee Lee who is receiving everyone's love and respect.

Peace Prayers at the Vatican

For the first time in history, Jewish, Christian and Islamic peace prayers were held at the Vatican on Sunday, June 8. During Pope Francis’ visit to the Holy Land last month, he invited Shimon Peres, Israeli President and Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian President to the Vatican to join together in prayer, in an effort to promote peace between Israel and Palestine.Pope Francis welcomed the presidents with an embrace at his residence, then briefly spoke with each one separately. Peres and Abbas greeted each other with a kiss. This event was the first public meeting between the two presidents in over a year. The Archbishop of Constantinople Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, along with other Jewish, Christian and Muslim representatives joined Pope Francis and the presidents in the prayer which was intermixed with music performed by a string ensemble. The gathering took place at 7 p.m. in the gardens of the Vatican near St. Peter’s Basilica. This location was chosen due to its neutrality as there was an absence of religious imagery and symbols. Each of the prayers were conducted in the chronological order of the establishment of the religions. They began with thanking God for his creation, followed by repenting for the division between the people of the two countries and ended with asking God to bestow peace upon the Holy Land. Both Peres and Abbas made statements in which they expressed their aspirations for peace among the people Israel and Palestine.Pope Francis hosted the peace prayers at the Vatican to set aside politics and restore the desire for both parties to move forward and create progress in the currently idle peace process. He expressed his hopes of this meeting marking the beginning of a new journey where the countries could overcome their differences and carry on in unity. He further stated that the event served as a symbol of brotherhood among the children of Abraham, and the previously failed efforts in achieving peace was the work of the devil. Pope Francis said to the presidents that in order to create this positive change, the necessary tool is courage rather than warfare, and dialogue must be encouraged and conflict avoided.


He advised both leaders to revisit peace talks in order to best serve the people of their countries. Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Vatican’s Custodian, who was an organizer of the meeting, stated that they are not expecting an immediate resolution as a result of the gathering, however, the intention was to restore the desire to move towards a peaceful solution.The peace prayers at the Vatican ended with Pope Francis, Peres and Abbas planting an olive tree as a symbol of a common hope for creating peace between Israel and Palestine. The recent efforts which were led by United States Secretary of State John Kerry were not successful and left the negotiations at a standstill once again. Kerry stated that after taking a break for several months, he plans to continue peace talks with hopes of Israel and Palestine coming to a two-state solution.
