Beautiful girls in bloom from the midst of painful histories

There are many kinds of beauty pageants in the world including the Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Asia Pacific World, Super Model Contest, etc. A lot of beautiful girls are chosen in all the beauty contests.

Today we are going to introduce beautiful girls in bloom from the midst of painful histories, above all the beauties from the pageants.

After Angola’s independence from Portugal in 1975, Angola has been under a civil war for as many as 27 years. Not only Angola but also the United States, the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, and South Africa, got involved in the Civil War. At that time, even Congo, next to Angola, stepped in though Congo was suffering from its own civil war. The Civil war resulted in the considerable number of more than five hundred thousand casualties.

Angola civil war can be called a struggle to seize power, which took place between three main tribes of Angola, and strong nations which coveted natural resources. MPLA armed its soldiers by selling petroleum, and rebel forces armed their soldiers by selling diamonds. Despite its abundant underground resources, it was not the people of Angola but their armies that could enjoy the benefit of the resources. One of the military benefits was
just landmines. It is said that no one knows how many landmines were laid during the Civil War. They must have laid landmines at random. People say that France has supported rebel forces with weapons for a long time. Above all, the biggest supporter of the weapons has been the United States. Even though the Civil War was over, the strong nations are still in war without a gunshot, using the resources of Angola.

During the Civil War, landmines were laid by government army, rebel forces, and foreign troops.
Unfortunately, it is the landmines that still seek the lives. In 2003, Angola landmine beauty contest was held. All the women who take part in this contest are the landmine victims. For the most part, they have only one foot because they were injured by the landmine causing ankle injury. This contest has been held since 2003, and is reportedly held in Cambodia, as well.

Who can take the whole responsibility for precious bodies, legs. lives, laughters of these beautiful young ladies? No one is responsible for those lives that were lost. Today the world should stop the wars and be all of one mind. May this long-awaited peace come true on this land as soon as possible!
